Daniel Boone’s Mansion built in 1817

I have more than a little interest in this historic house as Daniel Boone‘s sister, Hannah, was my great (6x) grandmother, making him my great (6x) uncle (my father’s side of the family).

Plus the house is 20 or 30 minutes from our house in a small , country town called Defiance, MO. We’ve been there several times, generally when we have out-of-town guests.

Here is a short article of Daniel Boone trivia I put out a while back: Daniel Boone Trivia

And for your contemplation, did you know that Daniel Boone is buried in two places, here in Missouri just outside of Defiance and in Frankfort, KY. For an explanation checkout: On 200th anniversary of Daniel Boone’s death, two cemeteries still claim his remains

And another point of view on his burial place: Burial Place of Daniel Boone

Enjoy the video.  If you are in the area, it is worth a visit.
