Fox News at one level is simply a symptom of the disease overtaking our country. At a different level they are aggravating and are part of the etiology of this malady. The malady is ultra conservatism. The malady is aggrandizing of Trump, unfettered capitalism, racism and pseudo-religious values. The malady is the denigration of immigrants, other religions, people of color, people that do not fit into the Norman Rockwell mold of an America that never existed. The amount of misinformation coming from this organization is beyond comprehension. It is without question propaganda. They are appealing to the most base instincts of their viewership. In a sane world they would be forced to put a constant scroll on the screens that read “Only for Entertainment Purposes” or perhaps “This is opinion not news”. Of course, in a sane world they would not exist.
If corporations were not advertising on Fox News it would die from lack of oxygen. That is the way our capitalistic system works. Below is a list of the top advertisers on Fox News. Please consider before using the products and services of these companies if you really want to support Fox News. Please consider writing a letter to these companies explaining how you feel about their supporting an organization that is bent on turning the USA back to antebellum times.
These type of organizations and people have existed throughout our history, but they have never had the power of TV and the Internet before. I have never been so afraid that the grand American Experiment would fail. I have never been so afraid that George Orwell was truly a prophet.
